Speculate, reflect: every thinking activity implies mirrors for me. -Italo Calvino
The unfolding of time is geometric and in every instant patterns are created and destroyed. We learn to ignore them because they are so abundant.
It is in the transitions between states that these relationships echo in beauty and emergent structure. There is knowledge in considering them.
This series attempts to capture moments within which the imperfect geometry of cities is clearer. Here, it is explored in the order that emerges in the disorder of city scenes, but it might just as well be about the deterioration of structure, as explored in the series where it bends.
In either instance, we are interested in an unheard dialogue. In where it bends, this is the interaction between the structures we create and the degradation imposed by time. In this series, the interaction is instead spacial, acknowledging the accidental relationships we create with the geometries around us.
